This role is pivotal in overseeing daily inventory operations, ensuring accurate stock control, and supporting process improvements within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a comprehensive understanding of inventory management systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient warehouse operations, optimize material handling procedures, and support overall supply chain effectiveness. Duties Assist in supervising daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes. Coordinate with team members to ensure accurate stock levels using inventory management systems such as RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Support process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse efficiency and reducing waste through lean management principles. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely and effectively in compliance with OSHA standards. Oversee inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation using systems like AS400 or similar platforms. Collaborate with logistics teams to facilitate smooth distribution center operations and timely order fulfillment. Support shipping and receiving functions by verifying shipments, preparing documentation. Implement best practices for materials handling, heavy lifting safety, and warehouse organization. Communicate managerial updates clearly to team members while fostering a positive work environment. Skills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, or related fields with a focus on inventory control. Proficiency in inventory management systems such as RF scanners, WMS, and AS400. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and heavy lifting procedures. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively with managerial communication skills. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like lean management. Competence in operating forklift and other material handling equipment safely. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse environments. Experience with warehouse supervisor roles or warehouse management systems is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within fast-paced distribution settings.
