Job Description
Regional Transportation and Logistics Company is seeking an experienced Service Center Manager.
This role will require a unique candidate who can function in multiple capacities and follow multiple projects through to completion. Day-to-day responsibilities are, but not limited to:
This role will require a unique candidate who can function in multiple capacities and follow multiple projects through to completion. Day-to-day responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Provide day-to-day leadership within our warehouse.
- Direct all operations activities in a distribution center environment. Responsible for operational excellence and process improvement; ensuring customer expectations are exceeded and talent acquisition, development, and retention of team members.
- Provides effective leadership of others (Associates and Independent Contractor Drivers) to ensure efficient distribution operations and adherence to policy, procedure and process excellence. Ensure environmental health and safety excellence through compliance with all safety rules and regulations, legal regulations, and human resource policies.
- Experience hiring, training and developing teams including drivers (both company and independent contractors)
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet service, financial and operational support demands.
- Partner with support staff to ensure compliance with all DOT regulations.
- Achieves cost control through productivity of personnel, efficient utilization of facility space and proper protection of stored materials.
- Execute company policies and implement standardized processes as directed.
- Geographic knowledge of CT,MA,RI,NY and NJ areas and able to route delivery vehicles efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Conducts him/her self with integrity and professionalism at all times.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$65,000.00- $80,000.
