Job Description

Material Control, Inc. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Materials Manager to lead purchasing, inventory control, material planning, and supplier management activities across our manufacturing operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support production demands while driving inventory accuracy, supply chain performance, and cost-effective operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical, leadership, and supplier management skills in a manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Develop and execute procurement and inventory management strategies that support company goals. Manage supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracts, and performance. Ensure material availability through effective forecasting, demand planning, and inventory management. Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Production, and Quality teams to support business objectives. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, operational efficiency, and supply chain optimization. Develop and mentor team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Manage supply chain risks and implement contingency plans to support uninterrupted operations. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in purchasing, inventory control, materials management, supply chain management, or related fields. Minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, forecasting, demand planning, supplier management, and manufacturing operations. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
