Job Description

The Transwest Parts Manager supervises all aspects of the Parts Department to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction while effectively maximizing a return on investment through parts sales, gross margins ratios, personnel development,inventory management, and expense control. They must be good stewards of Transwest, cross sell departments, utilize and manage all company resources, be process focused and above all reproach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Parts Managers are required to be at work between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding company observed holidays or as required to meet the expectations of the department and or fiduciary responsibility.

Develop, communicate, monitor and enforce effective parts department processes to ensure the best of practices and Elite Customer experience.

Attract, retains, engage and effectively develop a professional workforce comprised of but not limited to, counter and outside salespeople, warehouse personnel, delivery drivers.

Develop and manage a succession plan for identifying and developing future leaders; not just for direct reports but for major roles at all levels within the organization.

Engage customers and facilitate new and organic growth within defined Areas of Responsibility which includes completing a defined number of preapproved interactivities or personal visits at a customer's place of business as directed by the Director prior to the 20th day of each month.

Actively sell all products and services that Transwest distributes without prejudice or preconceptions while meeting sales, revenue and inventory projections.

Develop and manage an annual business plan with the relevant strategy and programs to meet departmental financial goals and key performance indicators.

Develop an annual budget with the relevant strategy and programs to meet departmental objectives and P&L requirements.

Maintain an accurate and effective working inventory control process that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory that ensures achieving departmental benchmarks.

Attend and/or complete all assigned industry product and process training opportunities.

Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

All other duties as assigned by the director.

Transwest reserves the right to implement a performance pay plan adjustment in the manager's month earned incentives due to any failure in meeting defined duties or responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Activities require a full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and fine dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

Requires standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.

Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 80 pounds.

The position requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.

Requires the ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.

Minimum 4 years' experience.

Dealership experience preferred.

Must be a leader capable of motivating a staff to succeed.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Detail oriented.

Ability to understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations.

Be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people and may be frequently called upon to handle difficult situations.

Able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. Have a long attention span in order to listen to people, perceive the real problems and bring issues to a successful conclusion.

Have the ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.

Understand people and be able to communicate effectively with them.

Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
