A well-established logistics and freight handling company is seeking a highly experienced Terminal Manager to oversee daily operations at a busy crossdock facility. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of freight while maintaining operational excellence and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all Crossdock terminal operations, including inbound and outbound freight flow, staffing, and scheduling. Manage and lead a team of dockworkers and drivers. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement processes to improve productivity and minimize downtime. Monitor freight integrity, damage control, and proper documentation. Coordinate with dispatch and transportation teams to meet delivery timelines. Conduct regular facility audits and safety meetings. Hire, train, and evaluate terminal staff including 1099 contractors and W2 employees. This is a night time shift starting at 10pm Monday - Friday.Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in terminal or dock operations management. Proven leadership skills in a high-volume freight handling environment. Strong knowledge of crossdock operations, LTL shipping, and freight flow processes. Familiarity with DOT regulations and OSHA compliance. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to utilize a forklift. Must have a clean driving record and willing to drive a 26 foot box truck when needed.What's Offered:
