Lead and manage the logistics operations team, setting daily priorities, allocating workload, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and development to team members. Oversee day-to-day logistics operations across inbound and/or outbound transportation, ensuring shipments are planned, executed, and delivered in line with agreed service levels and business requirements. Manage operational performance and KPIs, including on-time delivery, transit performance, shipment exceptions, cost performance, and carrier/service-provider performance. Provide first-level escalation management, ensuring operational issues, delays, capacity constraints, and other risks are quickly identified, investigated, and resolved with appropriate corrective actions. Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on shipment requirements, capacity, scheduling, priorities, and delivery performance. Monitor and manage transportation costs, identifying opportunities to improve utilization, consolidate shipments, optimize transportation modes, and reduce overall logistics expenditure. Review operational and shipping documentation, ensuring appropriate processes and controls are followed and recurring documentation or process issues are addressed. Manage carrier and service-provider performance, conducting regular performance reviews, identifying service gaps, and driving corrective and preventive actions where required. Support carrier sourcing and transportation solution development, working with Procurement and other relevant stakeholders to evaluate service capabilities, operational requirements, and cost competitiveness. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve productivity, increase visibility, reduce cost, and enhance service performance. Ensure operational compliance with established logistics processes, contractual requirements, internal controls, and applicable transportation and trade requirements. Maintain effective operational reporting and visibility, ensuring management and key stakeholders are informed of performance, significant risks, escalations, and required actions. Support logistics budget management and forecasting, monitoring actual expenditure against plan and identifying risks and cost-saving opportunities. Develop team capability and accountability, providing coaching, performance feedback, training, and support while creating clear ownership of operational activities. Support implementation of new logistics solutions and projects, ensuring operational requirements are understood and successfully transitioned into day-to-day operations.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Operations, or related field 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Operations, or related field Experience managing peoplePreferred Qualifications:
