Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Management Supervisor to lead our inventory control and warehouse operations. In this role, you will oversee the efficient management of stock levels, coordinate procurement activities, and optimize supply chain processes to ensure seamless order fulfillment. Your leadership will drive process improvements, enhance data accuracy, and foster cross-functional collaboration across logistics, merchandising, and procurement teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence inventory strategies, leverage analytics tools, and support the overall success of our supply chain network. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse distribution activities, including shipping, receiving, and materials handling to maintain optimal inventory levels. Lead inventory management efforts utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as SAP or AS400, and data analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau. Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, stock shortages, or excesses to implement effective corrective actions. Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to negotiate supplier contracts, optimize pricing strategies, and improve sourcing processes. Utilize data mining and analytics techniques to forecast demand, support demand planning initiatives, and enhance stocking strategies. Manage logistics inventory management including 3PL providers, freight carriers, and shipping & receiving operations for timely order fulfillment. Drive process improvement initiatives by analyzing warehouse operations data to streamline workflows and increase efficiency. Skills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, warehouse management systems (WMS), and supply chain logistics. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in procurement, sourcing, and contract management. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (including data analysis skills), SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Nielsen data visualization platforms. Knowledge of inventory control techniques including MRP (Material Requirements Planning), demand planning, and materials management. Technical proficiency with ERP systems like SAP or AS400; familiarity with inventory management software is essential. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements based on data insights. Experience operating forklifts safely; understanding of materials handling equipment is preferred. Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate between logistics, merchandising, production planning, and supplier management teams. Familiarity with e-commerce logistics processes including order fulfillment and shipping & receiving procedures. Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial modeling, pricing strategies, and supply chain analytics.
