This person will own purchasing, inventory control, vendor relationships, distribution operations and the company vehicle fleet. This is an opportunity to build consistent purchasing and inventory practices across an established business, with access to Finance and operating leadership. You will personally analyze data, set priorities and lead improvements that reduce excess inventory and costs while maintaining product and equipment availability.

What you will own:

• Purchasing and supplier performance: Negotiate pricing, freight and terms; analyze purchasing patterns and total product costs; and follow negotiated improvements through to verified results.
• Inventory and working capital: Establish appropriate stocking levels, identify excess and obsolete inventory, and execute reductions through purchasing discipline, returns and redeployment while protecting service levels.
• Warehouse and distribution: Strengthen receiving, transfers, cycle counts and inventory records across locations. Lead assigned employees and improve inventory flow and availability.
• Serialized equipment: Maintain accountability for equipment location, status and custody. Improve recovery and redeployment, investigate discrepancies and reduce losses.
• Company vehicle fleet: Manage maintenance, repair vendors, availability, utilization and operating costs. Maintain fleet records and develop replacement recommendations.
• Analysis and execution: Reconcile inventory reporting with Finance, explain cost and inventory variances, and translate findings into actions with owners, deadlines and measurable results. What you bring
• Five or more years of relevant purchasing, inventory, distribution or supply chain experience, including employee leadership or significant cross-functional execution.
• Demonstrated results reducing excess inventory and improving purchasing or vendor costs, with a clear explanation of your personal contribution.
• Strong hands-on Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations and variance analysis, plus experience with inventory management or ERP systems.
• Practical understanding of product costs, margins, inventory turns and working capital, supported by strong inventory-control and supplier-negotiation skills.
• A record of meeting commitments, resolving problems and communicating obstacles early.

You can move comfortably between spreadsheets, suppliers, warehouse operations and leadership. Experience that is helpful Multi-location operations, serialized or rental equipment, asset recovery and fleet management are especially useful. We welcome candidates from distribution, equipment rental, medical supply, industrial supplies and service-parts businesses. Healthcare experience is helpful but not required. A relevant bachelor's degree or supply chain certification is preferred; equivalent practical experience is welcome.

Pay:

$81,250.00 - $100,000.00 per year
