Responsibility Position Summary:
The Logistics and Driver Manager works in partnership with the Director of Operations, Distribution Center Manager, and Facilities Manager. This role is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the driver team in compliance with Feeding America and food safety practices. This role establishes daily and long-term work plans and schedules to ensure cost effective, safe, and efficient operations. This role supervises and maintains a cooperative work team of staff.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of activity conducted by driver team.
  • Maintain accurate and efficient routes for driver pickups and distributions, adjusting as necessary.
  • Routinely ride-a-long with drivers to support and assess activity.
  • Prepare drivers for upcoming activity by coordinating loading and providing necessary information.
  • Ensure fleet and driver practices meet AIB standards.
  • Manage driver team assistance with Distribution Center tasks, such as cleaning logs.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Talents:
  • Driving or logistical coordinating experience.
  • High interest in excellent customer service.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Distribution center and food handling experience.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Nebraska CDL-A driver's license and insurable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift, electric pallet jack and all other distribution center equipment.
  • Ability to regularly and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Hiring dependent upon successful completion of background check and pre-employment screening by Company Care.
