Inventory Control Lead:
Promote and uphold a safe work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures. Coordinate and support physical and electronic material transfers for received, distributed, and shipped goods based on operational priorities established by the Warehouse Supervisor. Lead and support Warehouse Clerks during daily operations and provide direction in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor. Assist with resolving operational issues including shipping delays, inventory discrepancies, and material transfer concerns. Provide on-the-job training and support for new and existing team members on warehouse processes, SAP transactions, and material handling procedures. Support operational flow by ensuring accurate movement, sorting, and shipping of materials in a timely manner. Team Leads are NOT responsible for issuing corrective actions or disciplinary measures. Team Leads are expected to provide coaching, guidance, and real-time feedback to support employee performance and development. Maintain accurate documentation and support the integrity of SAP data through established material transfer procedures and internal processes. Support Leadership Team with escalations, staffing updates, attendance tracking, and operational reporting as needed. Serve as the primary point of communication between Warehouse Clerks and Leadership Team members. Communicate productivity updates, staffing concerns, inventory issues, equipment concerns, and workflow challenges to leadership. Complete and maintain receiving, shipping, and warehouse documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure materials are received, distributed, and shipped accurately to support operational demands. What you will need as the
Inventory Control Lead:
High school diploma Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution environment required. Demonstrated leadership skills or previous lead/training experience preferred. Experience operating material handling and transfer equipment. Basic to advanced computer skills including SAP, Windows-based systems, email, and warehouse software applications. Strong communication and organizational skills. Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations. Experience using ERP systems such as SAP and inventory management tools. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to coach and influence others without direct supervisory authority. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet operational deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
