Logistics Manager Freestore Foodbank - 3.7 Cincinnati, OH Job Details Full-time 4 hours ago Qualifications CDL B Route planning software Route optimization Process improvement standards implementation Driver's License Operational excellence initiatives Lean management Commercial driving Full Job Description Under the direction of the Director of Distribution & Logistics, responsible for the supervision of the Logistics staff. Ensures the implementation of Lean Management principles and philosophies that support the goal of hunger relief. Full-time, exempt role in the Foodbank Division, Distribution Department Reports to the Group Leader, Distribution & Logistics Work schedule: 8 am - 4 pm Key Responsibilities / Duties Supervise Logistics staff and support continuous improvement of processes through systematic problem solving Work cooperatively with other departments to ensure the safe and equitable distribution of products to member agencies Oversee regulatory maintenance related to agency vehicles at the Distribution Center Ensure compliance with Feeding America, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and reporting requirements Supervise efficient and effective routing, receiving, and shipment of product Ensure all incoming product is properly received and receipted, and all outgoing product is properly counted, checked, loaded, and delivered Serve as primary contact for vehicle leasing and maintenance contractor Maintain DOT records in conjunction with Human Resources and ensure drivers and vehicles are DOT compliant Ensure proper maintenance and inspections are performed on all vehicles Stay current on DOT and other regulatory rules and policies Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree and/or documented experience in a distribution center, warehouse management, or logistics capacity Understanding and practical experience in the use of lean management principles and philosophies Experience with truck routing systems Valid DOT certification CDL B Valid driver's license and automobile insurance Demonstrated verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to accomplish goals within timeframes and complete reports by appropriate dates
