Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipper with Bill of Lading experience to join our logistics and warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing shipping documentation, coordinating freight movements, and ensuring accurate processing of shipments in compliance with international trade regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of shipping logistics, inventory management, and warehouse management systems to facilitate seamless order fulfillment and delivery. Duties Prepare and review Bill of Lading documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations. Coordinate with warehouse staff to facilitate the loading, unloading, and staging of shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners. Manage shipping schedules, track freight movements, and update shipment statuses within warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms. Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and documentation for domestic and international shipments in accordance with trade compliance standards. Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and resolve any logistical issues promptly. Maintain detailed records of shipments, inventory levels, and order fulfillment activities using inventory management software. Perform data entry related to shipping transactions, ensuring accuracy in systems such as AS400 or MRP modules. Assist in stock replenishment activities including picking & packing orders, stocking inventory, and preparing shipments for dispatch. Support warehouse distribution processes by optimizing order picking routes and utilizing warehouse distribution best practices. Monitor compliance with international trade regulations and export/import documentation requirements. Qualifications Proven experience in shipping logistics with a focus on Bill of Lading processing within a warehouse environment. Strong familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems (such as AS400), and MS Office applications. Knowledge of international trade regulations, trade compliance procedures, and export/import documentation standards. Skilled in using warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers. Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and shipment costs accurately. Experience with order fulfillment processes such as picking & packing, load & unload operations, and stock replenishment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
