Job Description

Pitt Inventory Services is expanding into the Northeastern Pennsylvania market, and we are looking for an experienced, motivated individual or small local team who is interested in more than just a job. We are looking for someone who has experience with retail inventory, convenience-store inventory, grocery inventory, retail auditing, merchandising, or related field operations and who would like the opportunity to eventually build and operate a Pitt Inventory Services branch in the area. This is an opportunity to grow with us. Our goal is to establish a strong local team in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. The right person would initially work with us to learn our inventory-counting procedures, technology, reporting and quality standards. As the business grows, there is potential for the right individual or team to take on greater responsibility for the local market, including managing a local inventory team, developing customers and eventually becoming a branch operator/partner. What We Provide Pitt Inventory Services will provide: Comprehensive training on our inventory-counting process Inventory software and technology Standardized counting procedures Training on item-level inventory and case/unit conversions Reporting and data-processing support Customer and project support Quality-control procedures Ongoing operational support The opportunity to grow into a local management or partnership role What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in retail inventory, physical inventory counting, retail auditing, merchandising, grocery, convenience stores, or warehouse inventory Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable using tablets, scanners and other technology Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Ability to travel throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania Flexibility to work evenings, nights and/or early mornings when required Strong communication skills and a professional attitude Leadership potential and the ability to eventually manage a small team Convenience-store or grocery inventory experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. More Than a Job We are specifically interested in people who have an entrepreneurial mindset . If you have experience in inventory or retail operations and have ever thought: "I could build and run this myself," we would like to talk with you. You do not necessarily need to already own an inventory company. We are interested in finding the right local person or team , training them in our system, and building the market together.
The long-term opportunity could include:
Field Inventory Specialist → Team Leader → Local Manager → Branch Operator / Potential Partner Our goal is to build a reliable local operation that provides customers with the high-quality, accurate item-level inventory counts they expect. Compensation Competitive compensation based on experience and responsibilities. Additional opportunities for increased compensation and leadership responsibilities as the local operation grows. Potential partnership opportunities will be discussed with qualified candidates who demonstrate strong performance, leadership, reliability and commitment to the business. Apply If you have inventory or retail experience and are interested in building something long-term rather than simply looking for another job, please apply. Tell us about your inventory/retail experience and why you are interested in building a local operation with Pitt Inventory Services.
