Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inventory and Logistics Manager to oversee our supply chain operations, warehouse management, and distribution processes. This pivotal role involves coordinating procurement activities, managing inventory levels, optimizing transportation logistics, and ensuring seamless order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in supply chain management, warehouse operations, and data analysis, with a focus on continuous process improvement and cost efficiency. Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end inventory management processes, including stock control, replenishment, and cycle counting to maintain optimal stock levels. Coordinate warehouse distribution activities, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and shipping of materials. Manage procurement functions by sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to plan routes, schedule shipments, and monitor delivery performance. Analyze supply chain data using tools such as SQL, Excel data analysis, and Tableau to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvements. Lead freight negotiations with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers), and carriers to optimize costs and service levels. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards in all logistics activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, production planning, customer service, and finance to align supply chain strategies with business objectives. Conduct demand planning and forecasting to support inventory stocking strategies that meet customer needs while minimizing excess stock. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, shipping & receiving efficiency, and overall supply chain performance. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics roles with strong warehouse experience. Proficiency in inventory management systems (ERP systems such as AS400 or equivalent), warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management systems. Extensive knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, vendor management, pricing strategies, and negotiation skills. Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel spreadsheets for data collection and analysis. Hands-on experience with freight logistics including NVOCC operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and manual handling techniques. Strong understanding of international trade regulations and trade compliance standards. Ability to utilize analysis skills for root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments. Relevant certifications in supply chain or logistics management are preferred.
