Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this role, you will oversee the inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring seamless operations that support our automotive service and repair teams. Your leadership will drive efficiency, optimize supply chain processes, and foster strong relationships with suppliers. Duties Manage the entire lifecycle of automotive parts inventory, including sourcing, purchasing, pricing, demand planning, and replenishment to meet operational needs. Oversee supplier management by negotiating contracts, maintaining supplier relationships, and evaluating performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Utilize inventory management systems such as ERP platforms and AS400 to track stock levels, process orders, and perform data entry accurately. Coordinate logistics for shipping & receiving, warehousing, and shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery of parts. Lead procurement management efforts by sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, parts administration, and sourcing strategies aligned with industry standards. Supervise warehouse operations including inventory control, equipment repair, forklift operation certification, and storage optimization. Collaborate with internal teams on demand planning for automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems repairs, auto body work, and HVAC systems to forecast needs accurately. Maintain internal communication channels to ensure smooth coordination between sales, customer service, manufacturing, and logistics teams. Monitor pricing strategies and negotiate with suppliers to maximize cost savings while maintaining quality standards. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to equipment repair and warehouse management. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories management combined with mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems. Hands-on experience with inventory management systems such as ERP platforms or AS400; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Demonstrated ability in procurement management including sourcing OEM parts and negotiating supplier contracts. Familiarity with logistics inventory management, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse operations. Certification or experience in forklift operation; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus. Excellent internal communication skills coupled with strong customer service orientation. Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
