PM Shift Starting Pay:
$1,850/Week + and Commission | Benefits Available Immediately | 10 Days PTO We are seeking an experienced CDL-A professional and proven leader to join our team as an Assistant Operations Manager . This is a hands-on leadership position designed for an experienced tractor-trailer driver who understands the demands of transportation operations and has the leadership ability to manage drivers, solve problems, communicate effectively, and help keep daily operations running safely and efficiently. This is not an entry-level management position. Qualified candidates must bring extensive CDL-A driving experience as well as demonstrated leadership experience. Compensation & Benefits Starting salary: $1,850 per week Additional weekly bonus and commission opportunities Benefits available immediately 10 days of paid time off (PTO) Stable, long-term leadership opportunity Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements: 8+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience Valid Class A CDL Current Doubles & Triples endorsement Previous doubles/triples driving experience required 4+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to professionally communicate with drivers, management, and customers Moderate computer skills and ability to learn transportation/dispatch systems Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced transportation environment Strong understanding of commercial vehicle safety and professional driving expectations Dependable, accountable, and able to lead by example Proficent Time Management and scheduling experience Assistant Manager Responsibilities The Assistant Operations Manager will help oversee day-to-day transportation and driver operations, including: Assist with managing and supporting CDL-A drivers Help coordinate daily linehaul operations and driver assignments Monitor driver attendance, performance, safety, and reliability Communicate operational changes and expectations to drivers Assist with dispatching and resolving daily operational issues Help ensure drivers and equipment are prepared for scheduled runs Respond to call-outs, delays, equipment issues, and other operational challenges Coach drivers regarding performance, safety, communication, and company expectations Assist management with documenting driver performance and operational issues Use computer-based systems for communication, scheduling, tracking, and documentation Promote a professional, safety-focused work environment Step in and assist with driving responsibilities when operationally necessary Manage weekly schedule Must fill in for drivers to maintain operations Train drivers and perform ride alongs Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate has spent years behind the wheel and understands what professional CDL drivers experience every day—but is also capable of leading people and managing an operation.
