Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Automotive Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. In this role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring seamless operations that support our service and repair teams. Your expertise in supply chain management, supplier relations, and automotive diagnostics will drive efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vital component of our automotive service operation, fostering growth through strategic sourcing, inventory control, and team leadership. Duties Manage the entire lifecycle of automotive parts inventory, including sourcing, purchasing, pricing, and demand planning to meet operational needs efficiently. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely delivery of quality parts. Oversee warehouse management activities such as stock organization, shipping & receiving, and logistics inventory management to optimize space and reduce waste. Utilize inventory management systems and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software to track parts availability, perform data entry, and generate reports for internal use. Coordinate with automotive service teams to ensure parts availability aligns with scheduled repairs and customer demands. Implement procurement strategies that support cost-effective sourcing while maintaining high standards for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts quality. Supervise parts administration tasks including order management system updates, internal communication, and parts sourcing documentation. Lead efforts in parts sourcing for auto body repair projects and vehicle systems diagnostics to enhance service capabilities. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as forklift operation protocols and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) requirements within the warehouse environment. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management, or automotive parts management within a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, OEM parts sourcing, and automotive service processes. Demonstrated ability to manage logistics inventory management systems, inventory control procedures, and parts administration functions effectively. Familiarity with warehouse management practices including shipping & receiving procedures and forklift operation certification preferred. Experience working with ERP systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar software for maintenance tracking is advantageous. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with supplier management experience to secure optimal pricing and terms. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive parts and accessories is essential for accurate sourcing and troubleshooting support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for data analysis, reporting, and communication purposes. Strong internal communication skills to coordinate across departments effectively while providing exceptional customer service internally and externally. Ability to perform data entry accurately under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in order management system records. $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
