Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Automotive Parts Manager to lead our parts department with energy and precision. In this dynamic role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring seamless operations that support our service and repair teams. Your expertise will drive efficient supply chain processes, foster strong supplier relationships, and optimize parts availability to meet customer demands. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your mechanical knowledge, automotive diagnostics skills, and leadership abilities to elevate our parts management operations. Responsibilities Manage the entire lifecycle of automotive parts inventory, including sourcing, procurement, pricing, demand planning, and inventory control. Oversee warehouse operations related to shipping & receiving, logistics inventory management, and parts administration to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Develop and maintain supplier relationships through effective negotiation, supplier management experience, and sourcing strategies to secure quality parts at competitive prices. Utilize inventory management systems, order management systems, and other software tools for data entry, order processing, and internal communication. Coordinate with automotive service teams to ensure timely availability of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and accessories for vehicle repairs and maintenance. Implement best practices in logistics, shipping & receiving, and inventory management to optimize stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete parts. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in procurement management, demand planning, and parts sourcing to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as forklift operation protocols and HVAC considerations within warehouse environments. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and accurately managing parts administration tasks. Qualifications Proven experience in automotive parts management or a similar role within the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, OEM parts sourcing, and automotive service processes. Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management, procurement management, negotiation skills, and supplier relationship building. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus. Mechanical knowledge combined with understanding of logistics inventory management and shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order management system entries and inventory control activities. Strong internal communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments including sales, auto body repair teams, and logistics personnel.
