Post Date 08/24/2026 Description Kindred Hospital Houston Sugarland and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) provide specialized care for patients with complex medical needs. Our long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) offers advanced, hospital-level treatment for chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended stays. In addition, our Acute Rehabilitation Unit is dedicated to helping patients recover from the effects of acute injuries, impairments, or illnesses. With a focus on personalized care, both the LTACH and ARU collaborate with your physician to provide 24/7 clinical care, ensuring continuous support on your path to recovery. Job Summary The Market Manager, Materials Management ensures that all medical and non-medical supplies and services critical to the delivery of care to our patients are procured and managed in the most effective and efficient manner possible. The Market Manager, Materials Management works closely with the Region Director of Supply Chain Operations to ensure that supply chain functions are performed in the following areas within the facilities in their market: staffing, purchasing, requisition processing, invoice processing, and oversite of equipment rentals and repairs. This position is responsible for leading the planning, development and implementation of market hospital strategic initiatives in Supply Chain Operations including quality, utilization, cost, day-to-day operations, service and human resource management. It ensures compliance with established regional and national goals and standards. Also, this person must have a demonstrated ability to utilize effective verbal and written communication skills with various levels across an organization as well as across diverse populations. Essential Functions Ensures compliance to policies, procedures and standards for procurement as defined by the ScionHealth Centralized Supply Chain Operations team. Ensures staffing needs are met within the facilities in their area by providing leadership coverage and arranging staffing for time off and open positions. Ability to travel within the market for coverage and special projects. Monitors performance of the materials management systems by reviewing reports of purchasing, warehousing and inventory activity. Assists the Region Director - Supply Chain Operations in the preparation of the supplies budget for all service units in the medical center, and analyzes expenditure patterns and usage trend. Ensures appropriate submission, billing and payment cycles as defined by Finance and the Region Director - Supply Chain Operations. Achieves a high level of compliance regarding ScionHealth's national standards for products/services. Builds and manages a distribution network, in conjunction with corporate Supply Chain, with the goal to minimize obsolescence or expiration, and high service levels. Working in conjunction with nursing and other clinicians, assures the accuracy and effectiveness of supply purchasing and replenishment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (eg Excel, Word, and SharePoint). Six Sigma White Belt Certified or higher preferred. Must have good and regular attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must have a valid driver's license. Must read, write and speak fluent English. Qualifications Education Degree in Business Administration or related program preferred Licenses/Certifications None required Experience Three or more years of experience in healthcare supply chain utilizing an ERP system or other procurement software to manage supply flow across multiple locations.
