Madison, AL Schedule:

Monday - Friday, Saturdays as needed KC Logistics is seeking a highly driven and experienced Terminal Manager to oversee all aspects of daily trucking operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining strong communication with drivers and staff, customers and supporting overall company objectives in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all terminal operations on a daily basis Fully participate in and support company initiatives and operational goals Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities of drivers and dispatchers Ensure accurate handling of all truckloads and related administrative paperwork Act as the primary escalation point for transit disruptions (weather, mechanical, traffic), executing contingency plans to prevent service failures Optimize routes to maximize fleet capacity, minimize empty miles, and meet strict delivery timelines Monitor and report on key performance metrics including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Empty Miles Ratio, and Fuel Efficiency Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and HazMat requirements as needed Foster a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment Minimum Qualifications 5-10 years of experience in transportation and logistics, with preference for automotive OEM supplier experience Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the transportation industry Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Working knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and HazMat requirements Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as McLeod Software Preferred Knowledge & Skills Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor drivers and office staff while promoting safety, retention, and service quality Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to act quickly in high-pressure situations High sense of urgency with a proactive mindset Experience in route optimization and fleet efficiency strategies Ability to analyze performance data and drive continuous improvement
