Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Director of Transportation Operations to oversee and enhance our transportation operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient movement of goods while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management. Responsibilities Manage daily transportation operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Oversee the scheduling, routing, and tracking of shipments to ensure on-time performance. Collaborate with various departments, including warehousing, procurement, and customer service, to streamline operations. Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Analyze transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Lead, train, and mentor transportation staff to foster a high-performance culture. Maintain relationships with carriers and vendors to negotiate contracts and service agreements. Skills Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams effectively. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
