Safety-Sensitive Position:

This position is designated as safety-sensitive due to the nature of our towing, transportation, propane, and hazardous-material operations. Employment is subject to applicable company policies, safety requirements, and drug and alcohol testing regulations. About the Position We are seeking an experienced Transportation & Safety Director to lead safety, compliance, risk management, and transportation operations across three company locations in Arizona . This position is responsible for ensuring consistent safety standards, regulatory compliance, training, and operational accountability across all three locations. The successful candidate must be willing to spend quality, meaningful time at each location on a regular basis and build strong working relationships with drivers, tow operators, propane personnel, managers, and leadership teams at each site. This is not a position that can be effectively managed from one office. Regular travel between all three locations is an essential function of the role. The Director is expected to be visible and engaged in the field, understand the day-to-day operations at each location, identify safety risks, and work directly with employees and local management to improve safety performance. Key Responsibilities Multi-Location Leadership Have overall responsibility for safety and transportation compliance at three Arizona locations . Establish consistent safety policies, procedures, and expectations across all locations. Spend regular and meaningful time at each location to observe operations and engage with employees. Conduct site visits, safety meetings, inspections, audits, and employee training at each location. Build strong working relationships with location managers, drivers, tow operators, propane personnel, and other employees. Identify location-specific risks while maintaining consistent company-wide safety standards. Monitor safety performance and compliance at each location and hold local leadership accountable. Travel between locations as needed to address operational, safety, compliance, or emergency situations. Transportation & Fleet Safety Lead the company's transportation, fleet, and workplace safety programs. Ensure compliance with applicable DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, PHMSA, and hazardous materials requirements . Manage driver qualification files, MVRs, medical certifications, training, and compliance records. Oversee applicable DOT drug and alcohol testing programs. Monitor driver safety performance, hours of service, inspections, violations, and corrective actions. Conduct regular vehicle, facility, equipment, and field safety inspections. Work with fleet management to ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and safe to operate. Towing Operations Establish and enforce safety procedures for towing and roadside operations. Conduct field observations of towing and recovery activities. Address hazards associated with roadside recovery, winching, loading, securing, and heavy-duty towing. Investigate towing-related accidents, injuries, equipment damage, and near misses. Ensure proper use of PPE, traffic-control equipment, warning devices, and recovery equipment. Propane & Hazardous Materials Oversee safety and compliance related to propane transportation, delivery, storage, and handling. Ensure applicable hazardous-material requirements are incorporated into company policies and procedures. Maintain appropriate training and documentation for regulated propane and hazmat employees. Develop and enforce procedures for propane loading, unloading, delivery, and transportation. Maintain emergency response procedures for propane leaks, vehicle accidents, fires, and other hazardous-material incidents. Compliance & Risk Management Conduct internal safety audits and compliance reviews at all three locations. Prepare the company for DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, PHMSA, and other applicable regulatory inspections. Investigate accidents, injuries, spills, property damage, and near misses. Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Track safety metrics by location and provide regular reports to executive leadership. Work with insurance carriers and claims personnel following accidents and incidents. Maintain accurate safety policies, manuals, records, reports, and compliance documentation. Training & Safety Culture Develop and deliver safety training for drivers, tow operators, propane delivery personnel, mechanics, and other employees. Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks at all three locations. Promote a strong safety-first culture throughout the organization. Ensure employees understand and follow company safety policies and regulatory requirements. Lead by example and maintain a visible presence in the field. Hold employees and management accountable for safe work practices. Qualifications 5+ years of transportation safety, fleet safety, towing, propane, hazardous materials, or related experience. Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations. Working knowledge of OSHA and hazardous materials requirements. Experience managing commercial drivers and fleet compliance. Experience conducting accident investigations and safety audits. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while effectively supporting multiple locations. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Comfortable working in both office and field environments. Willingness and ability to travel regularly between three Arizona locations . Ability to respond to safety emergencies and operational incidents when necessary. Preferred Qualifications Experience specifically in the towing and propane industry . CDL or commercial vehicle operations experience. Hazmat and tanker experience. Experience with

DOT/FMCSA

compliance audits. Knowledge of propane safety and emergency response procedures. CSP, ASP, CDS, or similar safety certification. Experience managing safety programs across multiple locations. What We Offer $85,000
