Job Description
The Manager Senior - Operations is the operational and strategic leader for the practice (s) and is responsible for all daily operations and strategic planning, including but not limited to, patient satisfaction, practice budget, staff schedules, patient flow, and compliance issues. This position ensures the marketing programs are properly executed and maintained. This position oversees incoming and outgoing correspondence or communication for the department. This position ensures all regulatory documentation, medical documentation, and billing documentation for the practice is accurately maintained. This role will work closely with the providers regarding the business analytics and operational efficiencies within the practice, continuously evaluating processes for improvement opportunities. This role collaborates with other leaders, providers and ancillary departments to facilitate services pertinent to operational excellence in regard to patient care. The Manager Senior - Operations is responsible for managing all assigned personnel within an office setting, which includes interviewing, hiring, orientation, development and performance of personnel, and monitoring the delivery of quality services. This position may manage more than six providers with three or more locations. Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree Business, Health Care Administration, Related field Required or Four years of related experience in lieu of bachelor's degree Required Minimum Work Experience 5 years Healthcare related experience Required and 3 years Medical Office Leadership Required Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of computer-based data management programs. Knowledge of health plans and managed care plans. Superior oral and written communications skills. Proven leadership ability. Knowledge and understanding of medical coding and guidelines. Experience assigning CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS codes. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Oversees the day-to-day activities of the medical practice. Works closely with the providers regarding the business analytics and operational efficiencies within the practice, continuously evaluating processes for improvement opportunities. Coordinates communication between team members and physicians or clinical associates to ensure the appropriateness of care and outcome planning. Ensures that providers and staff follow all company policies, procedures and standards to keep providers and staff in compliance with external regulatory authorities and ensure that clinical associate documentation meets internal standards. Collaborates with other leaders, providers and ancillary departments to facilitate services pertinent to operational excellence in regard to patient care. Consults with CBO and third-party representatives regarding patient financial responsibility, eligibility, service authorization, and reimbursement procedures. Maintains responsibility for department's operational excellence; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards. Manages team members which includes orientation, development and evaluation of personnel, and monitoring the provision of delivering quality services. Participates in the recruiting, interviewing and selecting of team members following policies, guidelines and applicable laws. Evaluates their performance relative to job goals and requirements. Provides coaching to staff, recommends in-service education programs, and ensures adherence to internal policies and standards. Maintains responsibility for the fiscal management of department; assures proper utilization of organization's financial resources. Effectively communicates departmental, organization, and industry information to staff.
