Transportation Team Leader Opportunity at Glanbia Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life's journey! The Opportunity
As a Transportation Team Leader, you will dispatch and support company drivers, maintain routes, and help ensure timely pick-up and delivery of milk and related products to Glanbia plants. Essential Functions Dispatch and manage company drivers to support safe, efficient transportation operations.
Maintain driver routes and ensure milk pick-up and delivery to plants stays on schedule.
Complete work orders and manage driver log book compliance.
Maintain the required truck capacity to haul milk, fresh cheese, and whey; coordinate additional hauling with Logistics as needed.
Field calls from dairymen and support truck confirmations, reroutes, and schedule adjustments. Additional Functions Comply with applicable occupational safety, health, and food safety requirements, including SQF, FDA, and PMO regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's degree in a transportation-related field preferred, or a minimum of two years of supervisory or equivalent transportation-related experience.
Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions, correspondence, memos, diagrams, and schedules.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present information to customers, clients, and employees.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, follow safety procedures, and support team/company goals.
Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics. Typical Physical Activity
