Job Description

Description Planning of inland transport in the most cost-effective way and in accordance with vendors selection and service level agreement. Monitoring of vendors performances, delay and exception handling and transport optimization. Facilitating the movement of import CH, keeping customers satisfied. Providing immediate response to customer inquiries related to inland activities. Systematic and efficient way of working with a positive attitude/approach. Good knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Word). Good command of spoken and written English Experience 1y in Maritime and logistics Industry University Degree or equivalent Responsibilities Execute transport instructions as per Customer request. Coordinate move in the most cost-effective manner possible and in accordance to service level requirements. Create work orders to and from rail/port for import and export cargo. Monitor transport execution to ensure prompt delivery. Monitor trucker and equipment accessibility to determine the availability of one-way transports for cost saving opportunities. Clarify invoice and work order discrepancies, correcting when needed. Monitor and evaluates haulers performance and issue service exceptions when needed. Update and distributes truck and rail transport limitations, heavy transport blockage calendar, strikes etc. Handle on carriage activities needed before vessel arrival (T1 request, Rail notification to ports terminal for correct stowage at yard, fast corridor declaration) Coordinate on-carriage shipments., also including Receiving transport instructions for changing import MH to CH. Contact internal and customers via e-mail and phone when additional information is necessary for inland activities of CH shipments. Contact customers if goods are placed on hold by Customs for CH containers. Investigate and provide problem resolution for CH shipments. Issue invoices related to DLF and related additional (FSD, HCD, OAD) in case of import MH changed in CH Support resolution of disputes related to inland costs (no workflow handling) Coordination with terminal operations to assure efficient and effective handling of CH shipments.
