Transportation Manager
Job Description
Our client is privately owned company with a new plant in northern MA. Due to growth, seeking a Transportation Manager to lead the Transportation Dept.
Primary duties/responsibilities include:
Recruit, train, coach, and manage transportation staff, driving performance, accountability, safety compliance, and operational excellence. Oversee fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, leasing, fuel, payroll, and transportation budgets to maximize efficiency and control costs. Develop driver schedules, monitored productivity, enforced company policies, and achieved service, quality, and profitability objectives. Ensure compliance with OSHA, labor regulations, and safety standards while maintaining accurate records and promptly resolving incidents. Build strong customer relationships, resolved transportation issues, collaborated across departments, and implemented continuous process improvements. Position reports to General Manager. Ideal candidates for Transportation Manager will possess the following: Associates degree (ideal minimum) 5+ years experience in transportation management Must possess active CDL License Understanding DOT regulations Salary up to $105k/yr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, FSA.Pay Details:
