(MTS) is seeking qualified applicants for future full-time, experienced Fleet Manager openings . The ideal candidates will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will excel in multi-tasking, communications, organization, problem-solving and time management. When you join our team in this position, you'll manage a fleet of at least (50) OTR drivers regarding many things including but not limited to scheduling/planning, performance, safety, profitability, and retention. Attention to detail will help ensure that our customers' freight is delivered safely and on time. Salary commensurate with experience/education.
Responsibilities:
Manages the fleet productivity using critical performance indicators. Accurately manages ETAs. Meets load requirements. Assumes ownership for each load from the point of dispatch to the point of delivery. Dispatches complete and accurate load information at all times. Satisfies all border crossing, customer pick up/deliveries or other unique requirements. Attaches, locates and loads the correct trailers. Manages the personal, training, and service needs of an assigned fleet of drivers. Recommends and implements appropriate plans for improvement where necessary.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of formal training in a related area and/or equivalent experience, bachelor degree a plus. Must have good communication skills. Must be able to operate basic office machines including excellent computer skills. Microsoft Office product knowledge (Word, Excel). Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems. Demonstrates good judgment and appropriate decision-making skills. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Experience in supervising and managing staff a plus. Must be detail oriented and have good communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail.
