Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented 2nd Shift - Die Cast Process Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the die casting process during the second shift, ensuring high-quality production and operational efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining smooth manufacturing workflows, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing continuous improvements. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and adjust die casting equipment to meet production specifications and quality standards. Conduct root cause analysis on process deviations or equipment failures, implementing corrective actions promptly. Utilize CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD to interpret technical drawings and assist in tooling design or modifications. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machines, and robot automation systems to optimize manufacturing processes. Perform machining, CNC programming, CAM programming, and fabrication tasks to support tooling and process development. Maintain accurate documentation of process parameters, equipment maintenance logs, and quality records in compliance with

ISO 9001

standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance to drive process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives. Skills Strong knowledge of plastics injection molding, die casting processes, and industrial equipment operation. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD) for interpreting schematics and designing tooling components. Experience with CNC programming, CAM software, robot programming, and electrical wiring troubleshooting. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and understanding GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Ability to perform root cause analysis using data analysis skills to resolve production issues efficiently. Mechanical knowledge of factory machinery including welding, fabrication tools, hand tools, and industrial equipment maintenance. Familiarity with process engineering principles like continuous improvement methodologies (Lean manufacturing) and process optimization techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and interpreting technical drawings or schematics accurately.
