Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks to deliver furniture and appliances to residential and commercial locations. Load and unload items using manual handling techniques, using lift gate or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to optimize time and fuel consumption. Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities. Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients upon delivery and addressing any concerns promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning before and after each shift. Requirements Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and load & unload procedures. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is highly desirable. Valid driver's license suitable for operating box trucks (chauffeur's license), a clean driving record is preferred Experience with manual transmission vehicles and manual handling equipment such as lift gate. Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques, safe lifting practices, and weight handling in the workplace. Ability to adhere strictly to DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety standards at all times. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of professionalism. Excellent communication skills with proficiency in using mobile devices for navigation and documentation purposes. Background check is required.
