This role involves coordinating vehicle maintenance, optimizing routes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and utilizing advanced transportation management systems to enhance efficiency. This is a hands-on management role for someone who understands trucking operations, DOT compliance, and how to keep trucks moving efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Duties Supervise drivers, onboarding, training, and performance management Ensure DOT/FMCSA and company compliance Coordinate truck maintenance, repairs, and preventative service Conduct regular vehicle inspections, schedule maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Manage communication with drivers via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and professional phone etiquette. Investigate incidents, violations, and accidents Track fleet performance, downtime, and fuel efficiency Analyze operational data to identify trends, improve dispatching processes, and support strategic transportation planning initiatives. Prepare reports on fleet performance metrics to inform decision-making and process improvements. Work closely with ownership and operations team to meet business goals Requirements Experience in dump trucking, construction hauling, or similar industry preferred Strong knowledge ofDOT/FMCSA
regulations Experience with ELD systems and fleet software Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills Strong analysis skills to interpret operational data for continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for effective stakeholder interactions. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in vehicle maintenance scheduling and compliance documentation.
