Job Description
This Manager position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of package pickup and delivery services within a singular FedEx Ground terminal for Eisenberg Logistics. The Business Contact will have a strong daily presence at the FedEx Ground terminal, as well as build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with all FedEx Employees.
Work Schedule :
6 days per week, with every 3rd weekend off. This is not a Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm position — it will require some long hours and weekend work, but will also be flexible with your schedule when circumstances allow. During Peak, additional days/hours may be required. Pay $190 per day We are looking for an experienced Business Contact (BC) — not a driver looking to transition into an office role. Candidates should have at least 6 months of BC experience, ideally in a recent or current role. We prefer previous Business Contact (BC) or FedEx Manager experience, but are willing to consider UPS, Amazon, DHL, etc.MANAGER KEY QUALITIES

MANAGER DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS
- Responsible for ensuring all daily P&D routes are staffed, trucks are operational, and routes are generating sufficient revenue
- Responsible for recording and reporting timesheets for payroll
- Responsible for driver management, scheduling, dispatching, and route planning
- Drive routes as needed, including in the event of a lead driver being out or other unforeseen circumstances
- Support terminal operations and coordinate with FedEx Ground staff to execute a plan that maximizes the profitability of the company
- Develop and maintain a relationship with a reputable, affordable vendor for maintenance and repairs, and schedule regular service to avoid unnecessary breakdowns
- Responsible for training every new driver to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, including paperwork, Hours of Service, and Pre-Trip/Post-Trip Inspections
- Creates a culture of safety, ensuring each driver stays current on monthly safety training
- Responsible for providing quality service to FedEx Ground with available drivers and operable equipment
- Responsible for managing budget and expenses for the terminal/location
- Works closely with the Fleet Manager to ensure the fleet is operating and maintenance is routinely performed
- Responsible for performance management of all drivers assigned to the terminal/location
- Excellent contingency planner who builds relationships with part-time drivers and other FedEx contractors in the building to help one another out in times of need
MANAGER REQUIREMENTS
- Must have previous Business Contact (BC) experience, preferably in a recent role — this is required, not just driving experience
- Must be over 21, with a clean motor vehicle record; one year of driving experience over the last 3 years, or five years over the last ten
- Must pass a background/MVR check, drug test, and DOT physical
- No felonies/violent misdemeanors or drug-related misdemeanors in the last ten years
- Prior management experience and/or a college degree required
- Strong scheduling/dispatch experience is required
- Strong payroll experience is highly preferred
- Safety experience is highly preferred
- Must be willing to drive routes when needed
- Client is looking for someone who can step into the role with minimal training
- DRO experience is NOT required
- We prioritize existing or former BCs over CDL drivers looking to transition into an office role — please do not submit candidates who are only drivers without office/operations experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Recent Business Contact (BC) experience is highly preferred
