DOT Fleet Manager - Wireline Services (Remote with Travel)
Location:
Remote (Candidates must reside near a major airport within or near the Permian, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, or Marcellus basins)

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced DOT Fleet Manager to oversee our specialized fleet of wireline trucks, mobile cranes, and support vehicles. This is a fully remote position requiring regular travel to our regional field yards for asset audits and inspections. We are specifically looking for a leader with proven expertise in building proactive, predictive maintenance strategies from the ground up to maximize fleet uptime. The ideal candidate has direct experience navigating the oilfield environment and managing the safe transportation of Class 1 explosives. (
Note:
This fleet does not transport radioactive materials).
Key Responsibilities Proactive Maintenance Program Development:
Design, implement, and manage advanced, proactive preventive maintenance (PM) plans for high-value specialized assets, including heavy-duty wireline units, mobile cranes, and pressure control trailers. Use data, wear patterns, and telematics to fix equipment before it fails in the field.
Asset Uptime & Reliability:
Monitor fleet health indicators remotely, working with local yard supervisors and third-party mechanics to minimize unplanned downtime and eliminate costly rig-standby events.
Regulatory & Explosives Compliance:
Digital monitoring and maintenance of full compliance with DOT and FMCSA standards. Manage driver qualification (DQ) files digitally and ensure complete safety and regulatory compliance for transporting Class 1 (Explosives) .
Field Audits & On-Site Inspections:
Travel regularly to regional district yards across our operational basins to conduct hands-on vehicle inspections, audit maintenance compliance, ensure shop safety, and verify physical parts inventories.
Safety & Telematics Monitoring:
Leverage GPS tracking, camera systems, and telematics software to analyze driver behavior and asset health. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective action plans.
Qualifications & Requirements Maintenance Expertise:
Demonstrated success in developing and launching proactive fleet maintenance plans that successfully reduced asset breakdown rates.
Experience:
3 - 5+ years of fleet management or logistics experience, with a strong preference for oilfield services (wireline, fracturing, or coiled tubing).
Remote Autonomy:
Proven ability to work independently, manage large-scale compliance networks remotely, and maintain excellent time management.
Travel Flexibility:
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% - 75% of the time to regional field offices, yards, and vendor locations.
Expertise:
Deep knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and Class 1 Explosives transport laws. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Dedicated home office setup for administrative, telematics, and compliance tasks. Frequent travel via commercial airlines or driving long distances to remote oilfield regions. While visiting yards, you must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. during asset and vehicle inspections.
