Trucking Manager
Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Trucking Agent Manager to lead and optimize our Agent base transportation operations. Focusing on terminals Invoicing and settlements payroll In this vital role, you will oversee the coordination of freight movement, vehicle dispatching, and fleet management to ensure timely deliveries and exceptional customer service. Your expertise in transportation planning, logistics, and communication will drive efficiency across our supply chain network. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence operational excellence while working with a Growing and expanding company. Duties Manage daily road transportation operations, including dispatching trucks and coordinating freight shipments in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Oversee vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems such as Anzio transportation Management to plan routes, monitor fleet performance, and optimize delivery schedules Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and GPS technology to track vehicle locations, improve routing accuracy, and enhance overall logistics efficiency Maintain effective internal communication through multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear coordination among drivers, warehouse staff, and clients Handle phone call management with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing inquiries related to freight, shipping & receiving, or scheduling Conduct data entry and analysis related to fleet management, shipment tracking, and supply chain metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards by regularly reviewing policies and conducting internal audits Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and internal teams to streamline shipping & receiving processes and optimize freight costs Lead vehicle dispatching efforts by organizing routes, managing driver schedules, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high customer service standards Skills Strong knowledge of transportation planning, road transportation operations, and logistics best practices Proficiency in transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms Experience with fleet management software and vehicle dispatching tools Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Advanced analysis skills for interpreting data related to supply chain performance and fleet utilization Effective communication skills for internal coordination via multi-line phone systems and external customer interactions Familiarity with
GIS, GPS
technology, shipping & receiving procedures, and DOT regulations Ability to manage phone calls professionally while demonstrating strong phone etiquette Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, documentation, and correspondence tasks Knowledge of logistics concepts including freight handling, shipping schedules, 3PL partnerships, and transportation planning strategies Strong typing skills for quick data entry and record keeping during busy operational periods Join us as a Trucking Manager where your leadership will propel our logistics operations forward!
