Position Overview RNB Logistics is expanding our final-mile delivery operations into the Kansas City, Missouri market and is seeking a dependable, experienced, and highly motivated Route Manager to oversee daily delivery operations. This is a hands-on leadership position . The Route Manager will be responsible for managing drivers, monitoring daily route performance, maintaining attendance and accountability, coordinating rescues, addressing package and delivery issues, and ensuring the operation meets RNB Logistics' performance standards. During the initial launch and staffing period, the Route Manager must also be willing and able to personally run delivery routes when operationally necessary . Compensation The Route Manager will receive a $0.05 commission for each package delivered across the assigned route/operation , subject to established performance expectations. If the Route Manager chooses or is scheduled to personally operate a delivery route, personal deliveries will be compensated at: $1.50 per standard package + $0.20 per duplicate package The management commission is designed to reward the Route Manager as the operation grows, the greater the successfully delivered volume under your management, the greater your earning potential. Compensation and management performance will be reviewed during an initial 90-day introductory period . Route Manager Responsibilities Arrive before scheduled drivers to prepare for daily operations. Monitor driver attendance, punctuality, and scheduled capacity. Assist with route preparation, package organization, scanning, and assignment when required. Ensure drivers have received and accounted for their assigned packages before departure. Maintain communication with RNB ownership/operations throughout the day. Monitor driver progress and route completion. Identify struggling or delayed drivers early and coordinate rescues/reassignments when necessary. Respond to call-outs and assist with finding replacement coverage. Track missing, unassigned, returned, and undelivered packages. Ensure all returns are properly documented and returned according to procedure. Monitor and enforce POD/photo compliance and other client delivery requirements. Address driver performance, attendance, conduct, and accountability issues. Help train and coach new drivers. Assist RNB with building and maintaining a dependable Kansas City driver team. Provide daily operational updates to RNB ownership. Lead the operation when RNB ownership is not physically present. Personally operate delivery routes when necessary during launch, staffing shortages, call-outs, or other operational needs. Help maintain a professional relationship between RNB Logistics, warehouse personnel, drivers, and the client. Candidates should have:

Previous delivery, logistics, dispatch, warehouse, route-management, or team-lead experience preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent attendance and reliability. Ability to manage multiple drivers simultaneously. Ability to organize rescues and respond quickly to operational issues. Reliable personal vehicle. Valid driver's license and current auto insurance. Smartphone with reliable service. Ability to personally complete delivery routes when necessary. Early-morning availability. Weekend availability. Ability to work within a 7-day delivery operation . Ability to work independently without constant supervision. Strong accountability and attention to detail. Ability to coach drivers while also enforcing RNB standards. Leadership Expectations This position requires more than simply assigning routes. The Route Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the assigned operation . We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates problems before they become emergencies, protects the integrity of the operation, and understands that leadership sometimes means stepping in personally when the team needs assistance. As the Kansas City operation grows and becomes fully staffed, the position is expected to transition increasingly toward management, performance oversight, driver development, and operational leadership , rather than routinely running a personal route.
