Job Description

Petroleum Carriers LLC has become one of the premier petroleum transport companies in the Mid-Atlantic. We strive to provide consistent and reliable transportation of petroleum products. We have an exciting opportunity for a Petroleum Terminal Manager in our Montvale Terminal location.
Position Summary:
As a Terminal Manager you will follow all corporate guidelines, working closely with the Safety Manager and Fleet Operations. You will be responsible for the entire Tidewater area of Virginia. You will travel throughout the region to meet drivers, terminal personnel, vendors and customers. You will also be responsible to manage the Maintenance and Dispatch associated with the drivers and the equipment for your terminal. You will be expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment, with routine supervision.
Essential Responsibilities:
1) Hire, train, supervise, evaluate and motivate a team of petroleum drivers, office staff and shop personnel, managing their daily activities to include performing performance reviews, reviewing time sheets and approving pay information for bi-weekly payroll. 2) Review electronic driver's logs, hours of service and other DOT requirements to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations. 3) Support and assist as needed with dispatch operations. 4) Coordinate, schedule and communicate information to your drivers, terminal personnel and most importantly, your customers throughout the Tidewater area. 5) Work with the Safety Manager and office staff to investigate all incidents and accidents involving company employees, especially our drivers. 6) Visit current customers when needed and meet with potential customers to discuss future business opportunities. 7) Prepare quotes, estimates and approve invoices from vendors and customers. 8) Promote future development of company by attending safety, VA Trucking Association and trade show meetings. 9) Additional job duties as assigned.
Physical/Mental/Sensory Abilities & Working Conditions:
1) Maintain a stationary position for most of the workday. 2) Move about inside and outside buildings, in all types of weather. 3) Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted. 4) May work, when necessary, beyond normal working hours, which may include traveling out of town on short notice. 5) Respond to daily communication from corporate headquarters in Richmond, VA. 6) Subject to frequent interruptions and changes throughout the day per customer's demand. .
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1) Excellent ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, in English. 2) Fast and accurate data collection in a high volume, fast paced environment. 3) Be able to effectively utilize technology in the performance of your job duties, to include a laptop computer, smart phone, Samsara ELD system and Lytx camera system as well as Windows based software such as Word and Excel. 4) Ability to manage multiple tasks along with problem solving and organizational skills. 5) Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact well with individuals at all levels. 6) Exceptional knowledge of Safety, Environmental and DOT Regulations. 7) Must have previous petroleum business knowledge, proven experience in transportation and prior management experience. 8) Strong leadership and teamwork skills. Proven experience in P&L understanding and management.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Professional Licenses/Certifications:
CDL Driver's License preferred. HAZMAT documentation a plus.

$65,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
