Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) to oversee and coordinate traffic management operations on construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant regulations. In this role, you will lead a team of traffic control personnel, implement traffic control plans, and monitor site activities to facilitate smooth movement of vehicles and personnel. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining safe work environments on construction projects, particularly those involving highway maintenance, civil infrastructure, and utility installations. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, and possesses strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and construction safety standards. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate traffic control activities across active construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines. Lead and train traffic control personnel in proper use of signage, flagging techniques, and manual handling procedures. Implement traffic management plans in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and project specifications. Monitor the operation of heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, front loader trucks, dump trucks, and paving machinery to support site activities. Conduct regular inspections of traffic control setups including signage placement, barriers, cones, and flagging stations to ensure visibility and safety. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and utility locating teams to coordinate site activities effectively while maintaining compliance with safety standards. Maintain detailed records of daily operations, incidents, equipment usage, and personnel assignments for reporting purposes. Experience Proven experience in construction site supervision or traffic control management within civil infrastructure projects. Familiarity with FMCSA regulations governing commercial vehicle operations and safety standards on construction sites. Demonstrated ability to lead teams in dynamic environments involving highway maintenance or utility installation projects. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods. Join us in shaping the future of traffic control! Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
