About the Role As a Fleet Operations Manager, you will oversee the strategic planning, scheduling, and logistical execution of raw material and finished goods transport across North America. You will lead a team of drivers and coordinate with third-party contractors to ensure seamless supply chain performance, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Optimize inventory movement and freight logistics by ensuring strict adherence to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and government mandates. Direct comprehensive maintenance programs for fleet equipment and facilities to maximize vehicle uptime and operational readiness. Cultivate a high-performance culture by coaching, training, and developing driver staff while maintaining clear communication of company objectives. Analyze fleet performance data and financial expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement. Manage the annual transportation budget, providing accurate quarterly forecasts and overseeing capital expenditure recommendations. Coordinate dispatching and routing for third-party contractors, serving as the primary point of contact for all transportation-related inquiries. Utilize ELD systems to manage driver payroll, audit hours of service, and maintain rigorous electronic documentation. Lead safety initiatives, including accident investigations and the facilitation of ongoing driver training programs to minimize risk. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation or fleet management. Proficiency in ELD systems, E-DVIRS, and fleet maintenance software. Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage budgets and operational data. Preferred Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A). 5+ years of experience in logistics or heavy-duty fleet operations. Demonstrated success in safety leadership and regulatory compliance.
