Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lead Driver/Supervisor to oversee transportation operations within our logistics network. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of drivers, coordinate daily routes, and ensure compliance with all safety and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Your leadership will drive efficiency in road transportation activities, optimize route planning using GPS tools, and maintain high standards of customer service. Duties Supervise daily vehicle routes, ensuring timely pick and drop off schedules and adherence to transportation plans. Lead and motivate a team of drivers, providing coaching on route optimization, safety protocols, and customer service excellence. Utilize transportation management systems google maps Manage internal communication channels using multi-line phone systems and internal messaging platforms to facilitate efficient workload and issue resolution. Oversee compliance with DOT regulations, and Human Resources, vehicle maintenance schedules, and safety standards to uphold management excellence. Maintain accurate data entry records related to documentation, and driver logs using systems like Microsoft Office tools. Handle phone call management professionally with strong phone etiquette while addressing customer inquiries or schedule requests promptly. Support transportation planning efforts by analyzing route data with Google Maps tools, optimizing route logistics for cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Experience Proven experience in road transportation operations or logistics management with a focus on staff supervision Strong familiarity with transportation management systems such as Google Maps or similar platforms Knowledge of DOT regulations Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask across multiple channels including multi-line phones and internal communication systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) for data entry, reporting, and analysis purposes. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to manage phone calls professionally while maintaining a positive customer service attitude.
