Job Description

Quality Custom Distribution (QCD), a subsidiary of Golden State Foods, is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to join our Transportation & Logistics team in the Food & Beverage Operations industry. This role oversees daily transportation activities, including routing, driver scheduling, and on-time delivery performance for quick-service restaurant customers. You will ensure DOT and safety compliance, optimize fleet utilization, and support warehouse coordination. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who promotes QCD's culture of teamwork, integrity, innovation, safety, and exceptional customer service, while driving continuous process improvements. Responsibilities Supervise daily transportation operations supporting food and beverage distribution for quick-service restaurant customers. Lead, schedule, and support drivers and dispatch staff to ensure on-time, accurate, and safe deliveries. Coordinate closely with warehouse teams to align picking, staging, loading, and dispatch activities. Plan efficient routes and schedules that support temperature-controlled, time-sensitive deliveries. Monitor fleet status, driver performance, and delivery progress, resolving issues in real time. Enforce and promote DOT, FMCSA, and food-safety regulations, as well as QCD safety policies and procedures. Investigate service failures, safety incidents, and delivery issues, and implement corrective actions. Track and analyze transportation KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost per case, and miles per route. Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to address service concerns and improve performance. Support maintenance scheduling and equipment readiness in partnership with fleet/maintenance teams. Train, coach, and evaluate team members, reinforcing QCD's culture of teamwork, integrity, safety, and service excellence. Identify and lead process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
