Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated CDL Driver & Supervisor to join our team, committed to excellence in solid waste management and customer service. In this role, you will operate various commercial trucks—including front loader, rear loader, and roll-off trucks—while supervising daily operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with all transportation regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks such as front loader, rear loader, and roll-off trucks, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) and state transportation regulations. Load, unload, and transport municipal waste and hazardous materials in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Supervise team members during route driving and waste collection activities, providing guidance on safe driving practices and operational procedures. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles for mechanical issues, ensuring all equipment is maintained according to safety standards. Enforce safety protocol adherence among team members, promoting a culture of safety awareness and hazard prevention. Manage route schedules efficiently to meet daily service commitments while optimizing fuel consumption and operational costs. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns professionally and ensuring timely waste collection services. Train new drivers on proper truck operation—including manual transmission handling—and reinforce defensive driving techniques. Oversee load & unload processes, ensuring proper handling of waste materials while maintaining safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of routes driven, loads transported, vehicle inspections, and incident reports in compliance with DOT regulations. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating front loader, rear loader, roll-off trucks, and air brake systems. Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on municipal waste management or solid waste collection. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and vehicle maintenance checks. Knowledge of traffic laws, hazardous materials regulations, heavy lifting techniques, and safety protocols related to outdoor work environments. Experience operating front-end loaders or other heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to load & unload efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Physical ability to perform manual lifting tasks regularly throughout the shift.
