Overview •This is a 2nd or 3rd shift position•Stable and growing organization Competitive weekly pay Quick advancement Professional, positive and people-centered work environment Modern facilities Clean, late model equipment Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc. Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days 401(k) plan, Company Match Responsibilities Transportation Coordinators are responsible for planning, managing and accomplishing all line haul activities in an efficient timely and economical manner Analyzes daily freight flow by using available planning tools and/or reports to initiate assignment of daily line driver scheduling Works closely with service center operations in the planning and implementation of daily line haul activities Monitors daily freight-flow and driver movement in and out of break service centers, through the whole line haul operation, to ensure timely inbound arrivals Provides an open line of communication for both service centers and line drivers Maintains line driver call off procedures and manages the repositioning of line drivers to cover vacations and/or call offs through out the system Ensure the accuracy and completion of all data entry procedures and/or reports that pertain to line haul operations Initiates proper investigating and reporting of all line haul accidents, job related injuries and break downs Works in conjunction with Quality Fleet and service centers for timely coordination and routing of designated equipment to the Dayton, OH shop facility for repairs and/ or preventative maintenance Communicates all obstacles, poor line driver performance and any operational issues Qualifications Background in transportation, logistics coordinating, dispatching or in LTL operations Excellent planning capabilities in a fast paced environment Professional and courteous communicator Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shifts Legally eligible to work in the United States Must be at least 18 years of age Fluent in English Benefits Stable and growing organization Competitive weekly pay Quick advancement Professional, positive and people-centered work environment Modern facilities Clean, late model equipment Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc. Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days 401(k) plan, Company Match a
