Our client in the Nashville, TN area is looking for a dependable and hands-on Fleet Maintenance Associate to help keep there delivery vehicles safe, clean, reliable, and ready for daily operations. You'll be responsible for routine vehicle inspections, coordinating maintenance and repairs, tracking vehicle issues, and helping maintain an organized fleet. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform daily and weekly vehicle inspections and safety checks Identify mechanical, electrical, tire, lighting, and other vehicle issues Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and service appointments Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repair history Communicate vehicle issues and downtime to management Help ensure vehicles are clean, fueled/charged, and ready for delivery routes Track preventative maintenance schedules and upcoming service needs Work with outside mechanics, repair facilities, towing companies, and vendors as needed Assist with vehicle emergencies and breakdowns when necessary Keep the fleet area clean, organized, and safe Follow all company, DOT, safety, and vehicle-maintenance requirements Qualifications Previous experience with vehicle maintenance, fleet operations, automotive repair, or a related field preferred Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and preventative maintenance Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to diagnose or recognize common vehicle problems Valid driver's license and a safe driving record Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs Reliable transportation to and from the workplace Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Must be at least 21 years old Preferred Qualifications Automotive repair experience Fleet maintenance experience Experience working with delivery vans or commercial vehicles Experience maintaining maintenance logs or fleet-management systems Schedule [Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-10:00 AM] Occasional weekend, evening, or emergency availability may be required based on fleet needs.
