GMScapes LLC is looking for an experienced Lead Hardscape Installer / Crew Leader to join our growing team. We are looking for someone with strong hands-on hardscape experience who can lead a crew, build projects correctly from plans, operate equipment, and train other employees in the field. This is a hands-on position. We need someone who knows how to build, not someone who simply supervises. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a hardscape crew on residential job sites
• Read and follow landscape/hardscape plans and project layouts
• Install paver patios, walkways, steps and outdoor living areas
• Build retaining walls
• Install drainage systems
• Build fire pits and other hardscape features
• Perform excavation, grading, base preparation, compaction and proper installation techniques
• Operate mini excavators, skid steers, compactors and other equipment
• Drive company trucks and tow trailers with equipment and materials
• Load, transport and unload materials and equipment
• Train and teach less-experienced crew members proper installation techniques
• Keep the crew productive and organized throughout the workday
• Communicate with management regarding job progress, materials and job-site issues
• Communicate professionally with homeowners when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe job site
• Take ownership of the quality and completion of assigned projects Qualifications
• 3+ years of hardscape installation experience preferred
• Strong experience with paver patios and walkways
• Retaining wall experience
• Drainage installation experience
• Fire pit/outdoor living installation experience
• Ability to read and follow plans
• Experience operating construction equipment
• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record required
• Ability to safely drive a company truck and tow a trailer
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Able to lift materials and perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to lead and train other employees
• Professional attitude and ability to communicate with customers and management What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who can look at a plan, understand what needs to be built, teach the crew how to build it, and help get the job done correctly.

You don't have to know everything, but you need to have a strong understanding of hardscape construction and be willing to work alongside the crew. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Pay & Opportunity Starting pay: $25/hour based on experience. There is an opportunity for increased pay as you demonstrate the ability to independently lead crews, train employees, maintain quality standards and successfully complete projects.
