Duties Implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of children, including toddlers and preschoolers Facilitate engaging lessons that promote exploration and social-emotional learning Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, positive behavior, and effective learning experiences through strong classroom management techniques Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster a supportive partnership Conduct assessments of child development using standardized testing methods and document progress accurately Maintain compliance with rules, policies, and standards put in place by the state of Virginia and Hi-5 Early Learning Center Skills Experience working with children across various age groups, especially in preschool or toddler care settings Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management strategies Knowledgeable in curriculum development and lesson planning Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners Experience with behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining flexibility in daily routines

Pay:

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
