Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an organized and experienced Shipping Lead to join its Brea, CA team! The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping operations and ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely shipment of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) products. This position serves as a key resource for shipping processes, inventory accuracy, carrier coordination, and customer-specific shipping requirements. Additionally, the Senior Shipping Clerk supports inventory management of semi-finished and finished goods, assists in resolving shipping discrepancies, and helps ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Because this role regularly interfaces with carriers, customers, and internal departments, exemplary customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are required. Shipping Lead:
Review customer requirements, routing guides, and shipping instructions to ensure all shipments meet customer specifications and delivery requirements. Process and coordinate domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers while ensuring on-time delivery. Verify the accuracy of shipping notices, bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, invoices, and other shipping documentation. Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, track shipments, and resolve shipping-related issues. Utilize ERP and reporting systems to verify inventory transactions, pull product from production, and ensure shipments are processed against the correct customer orders. Maintain accurate shipping, inventory, and transaction records while supporting inventory control of semi-finished and finished goods. Shipping Lead:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of shipping, logistics, warehouse, or inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, or PCBA environments preferred. Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, carrier systems, freight coordination, and customer-specific shipping requirements. Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, carriers, and cross-functional teams. Schedule & Budgeted Hours Morning Shift (1 Shift Total)
Shift Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30
PM Paid Hours Per Day:
8 hours (includes one 30‑minute unpaid meal break).
Overtime:
May be required based on production needs and will be compensated in accordance with California labor law.
Budgeted Hours Budgeted Weekly Hours:
40 hours (5 shifts × 8 hours).
