Description Summary of Position:
The Yard Lead oversees and coordinates all yard and crop receiving activities. The person in this position leads and directs other employees supporting yard operations by providing necessary training and assigning daily tasks. Functions of the
Position:
Oversees and controls all crop receiving documents and yard forklift operations. Oversees crop shipping/receiving operations. Provides direction to employees to ensure the job is performed correctly. Ensures trailers are loaded and offloaded in a timely manner. Ensures all employees are using proper documents. Ensures equipment is safe and available daily. If not, follows up with maintenance. Coordinates with the grower department for inbound appointments. Works closely with inventory control and shipping/receiving to ensure all receipts are correct and makes necessary adjustments. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
Two plus years of forklift and warehouse experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Food operations experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Material handling equipment certification (JBSS Issued).
Skills and Competencies:
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and WMS (Warehouse Management System) and RF Eagle scanning system. Problem solving, team building, project execution and ability to multi-task. Good math skills required. Strong attention to details. Leadership skills with the ability to train and coach. Able to speak, write and read English. Able to lift 50 pounds. JBSS is an
