Job Description

Job Overview :
As a Warehouse Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. This position involves overseeing and coordinating the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring efficient workflows, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment.

Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and support. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on productivity and quality.
Workflow Coordination:
Coordinate daily activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. Assign tasks and responsibilities to warehouse team members based on priorities.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy.
Quality Control:
Implement and enforce quality control measures for incoming and outgoing products. Conduct inspections to ensure that products meet established standards.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines. Conduct regular safety meetings and address any safety concerns promptly.
Equipment Operation:
Supervise the operation of material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.
Training and Development:
Provide training to warehouse staff on proper procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation. Support ongoing learning and development initiatives for the team.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with other departments, such as logistics, shipping, and receiving. Relay information regarding inventory levels, order statuses, and other relevant updates.
Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, shipments, or warehouse processes. Collaborate with team members to find solutions to challenges.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Implement best practices and suggest improvements to warehouse management.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and other relevant documentation. Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or a related field is a plus. Proven experience in warehouse operations, with leadership or supervisory experience. Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse processes. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to operate material handling equipment with proper certification. Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptability to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment. Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Pay:
$22.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
