Job Description

Shipping Coordinator 1

JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinates the movement and control of material through the shipment department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Pulls customer orders and prepares them for shipment. Loads and unloads trucks. Processes small packages (UPS/FEDEX). Keys or scans shipping transactions into the manufacturing system. Copies and distributes paperwork, as needed. Maintains records and files paperwork in accordance with established procedures.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

May manually handle, repack, or repalletize materials. Must operate a forklift truck, pallet jack, parts counting scales, stretch wrapper, and other material handling devices. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications Technical Competencies:

Basic reading, writing and numerical ability. Minimum of three (3) months relevant work experience. Forklift experience.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping and crouching. Gross and manual dexterity. Motor coordination skills Lift up to 40 lbs.
