About The Role We are based in a 3,000 sq. ft. facility in Vista, CA, looking for a dependable, motivated Operations Supervisor to run day-to-day floor operations across our warehouse, production, and fulfillment functions. This is a hands-on role, not a manage-from-a-distance position. You'll personally handle core production planning, quality control, receiving, and inventory work, while directly supervising production, fulfillment, and retail shop staff. You'll also own scheduling, training, quality, and process improvement for a small team. The right person stays active throughout the day, thinks on their feet, and naturally steps in wherever help is needed — shipping orders, organizing inventory, supporting production, or troubleshooting workflow. Day-to-day tasks vary depending on where the needs are, so comfort wearing multiple hats is a must. As the company grows, this role has room to grow with it — taking on new systems and added responsibility over time. Key Responsibilities Production Create weekly production plan taking into account raw materials inventory, finished goods inventory targets and customer orders Adjust schedules based on demands and inventory levels Directly supervise and coach the Production Lead, who runs day-to-day production floor execution (one production line, approximately 6 hours/day, 3-4 days/week) Perform production line quality checks Complete monthly production tracking, efficiency reporting, and review daily production paperwork Meet and exceed production throughput goals Fulfillment - Freight Orders & Parcel Orders (DTC and Smaller Retailers) Supervise part-time fulfillment team as the main point of contact, coordinating schedules, providing team communications, resolving questions / issues, and training on new processes Freight orders: follow specific customer SOP checklist to prepare packing slips and shipping labels, oversee steps handed over to the Freight Packer, perform QC checks, handle carrier pick-up and close-out orders with paperwork, photos and emails, coordinating with the freight team Parcel orders: maintain working knowledge of DTC and small retailer order fulfillment and directly step in as needed to support the team during high volume or staffing gaps Manage PO timing and logistics coordination of materials, packaging, finished goods, and lead times Oversee accurate pick/pack, labeling and shipment flow with accurate and on-time delivery Manage shipping platforms and customer service related issues Review and approve daily paperwork and track metrics Retail Shop Oversee part-time shop associate (5 hours/week) Supervise inventory counts, restocking, and cleaning for the retail shop space Provide backup customer assistance as needed Receiving & Quality Maintain the receiving process for all incoming shipments Perform quality inspection, count verification, and COA review of incoming raw materials and finished goods Escalate quality or supply issues to leadership as needed Facility & Inventory Coordinate placement and storage of incoming materials and finished goods Coordinate facility maintenance, repairs, and contracted monthly cleaning services Monitor equipment, computers, and printers, and maintain 5S organization systems Oversee general warehouse upkeep Maintain daily electronic inventory tracking of raw materials and finished goods Lead quarterly physical inventory counts and reconciliation Manage inventory and ordering of warehouse supplies Escalation & Accountability Serve as the primary point of accountability and communication for warehouse operations Communicate SOP changes and process updates to all warehouse teams Manage customer issues as directed from customer service team, ensuring problems are resolved and tracked accurately Serve as the communication bridge between Production and Fulfillment, flagging inventory needs, raw material issues, production issues, etc. Team & Administration Provide daily direction to warehouse staff Provide ongoing training for new and existing team members Track and report performance and injury incidents Report on health & safety compliance Approve time sheets and manage staff scheduling across production, fulfillment, and shop teams Support and implement operational workflow improvements What We're Looking For 3 - 4+ years of experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment, including direct supervisory experience Strong understanding of shipping workflows and freight carriers Working knowledge of inventory systems, experience with inventory management or ERP software a plus Proficient computer skills, including Google suite, maintaining spreadsheets, tracking systems, customer order platforms, as well as adapting to new business and software platforms Comfortable being hands-on — this role performs core production, quality, and inventory work Experience with quality control processes; COA review experience a plus (CPG, household, supplement, cosmetic, or food/beverage industry background preferred) Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage schedules across multiple part-time teams with varying weekly hours Clear, direct communication style and comfort coaching team members on performance and process improvement Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Work in a warehouse/production environment loud noise and hot/cold temperatures. Schedule Full-time, on-site at our Vista, CA facility.
Pay:
$30.00 - $38.00 per hour
