POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Steward is responsible for maintaining the organization, accuracy, cleanliness, and readiness of Encore Catering's operational resources. This hands-on role supports the successful execution of events by overseeing accurate pack-outs, warehouse inventory, catering equipment, fleet maintenance, and event-related logistics. The Executive Steward works closely with the Operations, Culinary, and Sales teams to ensure every event leaves the facility properly packed, organized, and prepared. This position also assists with deliveries, staffed events, event runs, and other operational needs.
ESSENTIAL
RESPONSIBILITIESEvent Pack-Outs and Returns Ensure all events are packed accurately and according to the final BEO, packing lists, and event requirements. Verify that food service equipment, beverages, disposables, décor, supplies, and other operational items are included before vehicles leave the facility. Identify missing, damaged, or unavailable equipment before an event departs and communicate concerns promptly. Coordinate with Culinary, Operations, and event captains to resolve pack-out questions. Assist with unloading and properly returning equipment and supplies after events during business hours. Ensure rental items and Encore-owned equipment are separated, counted, and returned to the appropriate location. Support event runs when additional or replacement items are needed onsite. Warehouse Inventory and Equipment Maintain accurate inventory of warehouse supplies, catering equipment, and operational materials. Keep storage areas labeled, orderly, clean, and easy for the team to navigate. Monitor inventory levels and communicate purchasing or replacement needs before supplies run out. Conduct regular equipment counts and assist with scheduled inventories. Inspect equipment for damage, cleanliness, and functionality. Coordinate repairs or replacements with the appropriate manager. Help maintain accountability for equipment leaving and returning from events. Fleet Maintenance Monitor the condition and maintenance schedules of Encore's vehicles. Coordinate regular oil changes, routine services, inspections, and necessary repairs. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for each vehicle. Monitor registration, insurance documentation, fuel levels, and general vehicle readiness. Report safety concerns, damage, warning lights, or mechanical issues immediately. Ensure vehicles are clean, organized, fueled, and prepared for scheduled events and deliveries. Operational Support Keep the Operations department, warehouse, loading areas, and company vehicles clean and organized. Assist with corporate drops, deliveries, pickups, and staffed events as scheduled. Complete event runs and miscellaneous company errands. Assist with loading and unloading vehicles. Support event setup, service, breakdown, and transportation when needed. Help prepare operational supplies, including ice, beverages, disposables, and event equipment. Work collaboratively with event captains and other departments to support smooth event execution. Communicate operational concerns early and provide practical solutions. Perform other duties as assigned based on business and event needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous catering, hospitality, warehouse, delivery, or event operations experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to read and follow BEOs, packing lists, and written instructions accurately. Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when required. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds and remain active for extended periods. Commitment to maintaining Encore Catering's standards for safety, professionalism, cleanliness, and guest service.
SUCCESS IN THIS POSITION
Success in the Executive Steward position will be measured by: Accurate and complete event pack-outs. A clean, organized, and event-ready Operations department. Reliable inventory counts and equipment accountability. Properly maintained and service-ready company vehicles. Timely completion of deliveries, event runs, and operational assignments. Clear communication and effective collaboration across departments.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 45.0 per week
